Charitable Donations/Projects Committee Application

The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West makes annual contributions to worthy community organizations. The Charitable Donations/Projects Committee meets in January each year to review requests received.

Our focus is supporting projects located in Santa Rosa that fall into one or more of the following categories:

  • Youth
  • Elderly
  • Disadvantaged
  • Health
  • Poverty
  • Literacy
  • Education

Requests should be made in writing addressed to Charitable Donations/Projects Committee, The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West, P.O. Box 6792, Santa Rosa, California 95406.

To make a request, fill out the Contributions Request Form. Please keep in mind the following:

Community need must be present and identifiable.

Requesting groups must be tax-exempt.

Special attention is given to groups with:

  • Efficient and effective administration of funds and programs.
  • Plentiful volunteer support.
  • Programs which serve large numbers of people.
  • Programs with long-term effects
  • Programs that encourage wide community support.

The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West makes every effort to direct its contributions where they have the greatest impact while addressing the most critical needs. We receive far more requests than there is money available and acknowledge that we are unable to fund every worthy endeavor. As a general rule, we will not make contributions to:

  • Churches or religious organizations for purpose of religious advocacy.
  • Funding for individuals.
  • School programs or projects that benefits one individual versus a group of students.
  • Unrestricted operating funds.

Timing Requirements

Proposals are accepted from July 1st until December 31st each year and are considered by the Charitable Donations/Projects Committee in January.

Please submit your completed application with 5 copies to the The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West to the attention of the Charitable Donations/Projects Committee not later than December 31st.

We will notify you of our decision regarding your application as soon as possible.
